Kairos Christian Fellowship Hoodie Design
Kairos Christian Fellowship is an on-campus church organization at the University of Maryland College Park. The client wanted to refresh their merchandise by creating a fresh, gender neutral hoodie that didn’t solely utilize their logo as their design and represented their group.
Inspired by the meaning of Kairos, "an opportune time", I used the phrase “The time is now” to reflect the group’s mission of exploring faith and spiritual questions in the present. Aiming to appeal to college students, I gave the design a playful, streetwear-inspired feel by incorporating a vintage pocket watch with organic shapes and Roman numerals. I also experimented with the size and form of the definition text to echo this style while maintaining a clean rectangular layout in Adobe Illustrator.
Process
After finalizing my initial sketches, I selected the preferred design and digitized it using the Image Trace tool in Adobe Illustrator.
Once the vector artwork was refined and cleaned up, I developed a hoodie mockup in Adobe Photoshop to visualize the final concept.
