Solscreen Poster Advertisement
Solscreen is an imaginary sunscreen product part of my series, where I design modern and lively products and service advertisements inspired by Greek and Roman deities.
I chose a gradient blend of warm gold and cool teal hues for the background to symbolize the balance between the sun’s energy and the soothing protection offered by the product. Prominently centering the sunscreen creates an immediate focal point, while the packaging design, inspired by sun rays, ties back to the concept of solar defense.
Bold and clean typography spells out “PROTECT YOUR SKIN” in large, white uppercase letters, making the message direct and impactful. By combining sunlit golds with sea-inspired greens, I wanted to evoke both vitality and calm. I placed the website link at the bottom grounds the design with a modern, minimalist touch.
Process
After sketching my initial concepts, I designed the sunscreen packaging in Adobe Illustrator and seamlessly photoshopped it onto a photograph I took of a cosmetic squeeze bottle held in my hand. I then brought the elements together in Illustrator to create the final poster, combining the product photo with the slogan to produce a cohesive and visually engaging composition.
